The center specializes in research and development as well as implementation projects aiming to upgrade or modernise the existing as well as to design and develop cutting-edge and advanced solutions for the refractory industry.

 

 

The Center operates in the area of:

scientific research and development covering a range of areas:

  • ceramics and composites,
  • high-temperature ceramics,
  • processing of non-metallic raw materials, especially related to the production of refractory materials,
  • broadly defined closed-loop economy for the refractory industry,
  • research, expertise, opinions and scientific and technical services commissioned by companies,
  • accredited and non-accredited laboratory testing, primarily of chemical and phase composition as well as performance and properties of raw materials, intermediate products and refractory products, including testing of thermal properties and microstructure

​trial production runs of:

  • monolithic and pre-cast refractories,
  • technical and special ceramics,
  • grinding stabilizers, milling aids.
