The center specializes in research and development as well as implementation projects, aiming to upgrade or modernise the existing as well as to design and develop cutting-edge solutions for the building materials and ceramics industry.

 

 
The Center operates in the area of:
  • scientific research and development covering a range of areas:
    • ceramic sanitary ware,
    • technical ceramics,
    • special ceramics,
    • earthenware and porcelain,
    • ceramic-metal composites and ceramics of nano/micro composite structure,
    • biomaterials,
    • aerated concrete and pre-cast units for building industry,
    • broadly defined closed-loop economy for the ceramic and concrete industry,
  • assessment and certification of the constancy of performance and conformity of factory production control
  • laboratory testing, accredited and non-accredited, primarily of ceramics, building materials and pre-cast products,
  • research, expertise, opinions and scientific and technical services commissioned by companies,
  • trial production runs and pilot plant trials including: 
    • decoration materials for the ceramic industry,
    • ceramic coatings,
    • ballistic ceramics,
    • ceramic catalysts.
